Unearthing What Was Left of Her Past

I have a fascination in reconstruction and deconstruction of thrifted clothing. I think old clothes have stories behind it waiting to be heard. Making an old garment into something else is like a re-telling of an old story or at times it's like giving birth to another tale.

Haute Cut-oure

When surrealist design duo Viktor and Rolf showed there SS010 collection last year which they entitled "Credit Crunch Couture", I was in awe! The sharp cuts on those voluminous tulle dresses screams "We can still make couture during the hard times". These witty, humorous and iconic dresses prove that no one can stop them from making beautiful and extreme things.

The cover of Dazed and Confused February issue:

Loving Magdalena Frackowiak!!!

inside...

kinda remind me of this...

When I got a copy of Dazed look what it came with...

A Diesel "Be Stupid" shirt!!! what a great owhfah!

of course I can't get my hands on these gowns. Unless the Dutch Duo ship these dresses to HK. I can have this one for now.

rocky, vintagey street

I had the chance to see what H&M is up to this spring. What I like about H&M is that adapts to the current trend and make it accessible to a wider market. Yes, there are more chances to come across with someone wearing the same piece but its a matter of putting your own personal touch to it through accessorizing, new propositions in layering, and adapting the look to your lifestyle. own it!!!

key looks:
structured shoulders are here to stay
rolled-up sleeves.
playing with earth tones earth tones
layering light fabrics and textures
It's nothing new to the mod HK street crowd. Oh, well it won't hurt to add more pieces to play with.

Another key look to H&M's SS010 line is the tribute to Tokyo street style. It's time to break borders in dressing. 60's houndstooth meets 60's rockabilly legwear with 19th century floral. It's all about adding a vintage vibe to street wear.

It's like the Von Trapp family going to Woodstock.
